​Ask Me Run Application

An application designed to track and analyze running activities with precision

Tracking health metrics is essential in sports training, especially for runners. Metrics like heart rate, distance, speed, and calories burned help evaluate workout effectiveness and adjust training regimens. Monitoring these metrics can also identify potential issues early, reducing injury risks and improving performance. To simplify this process, we developed the Askme Run App, which records your running data while providing detailed insights, personalized guidance, and recommendations to enhance your training.

​When I first started developing the app, I conducted a survey with 356 participants from the “Da Nang 10km Marathon” (2023) and “Da Nang 21km Marathon” (2024) to assess the need for a health metrics tracking app, including steps, body temperature, and heart rate. The results showed that 90% of participants responded positively to the necessity of such an app, while the remaining 10% were neutral.

Based on that demand, we decided to develop the app with a 16:9 interface ratio, using Javascript and Typescript, covering all operational aspects like color, animations, fonts, and background effects. The UX/UI design will be created on Figma, following a "Green" concept, highlighting how all physical activities help people live a more positive and eco-friendly lifestyle.

The Askme Run app is released on Android with various features. First is the Map, which uses GPS to track users' routes. Users can save their routes and share them with family and friends. The second option is History, which stores all running data and analyzes it in the History section. The third is Charts, allowing users to analyze each run and monitor real-time stats displayed in graphs. The fourth option is Settings, where users can customize their daily running goals, units of measurement, language, and more. Finally, there's Sync, enabling users to sync their data with their Google account.

Askme Run offers many advanced features such as Sync with Google account, Daily running statistics, Total Calories records, Daily Reminder, Best records List, and more, all designed to optimize workouts and help users improve their health. Finally, I invited 150 participants from the “Ba Na Marathon 2024” to download and test the app, and the positive feedback confirmed that it provided a valuable experience for fitness enthusiasts.
